Mantle receives EUR 2.8 million for expansion

With a recent financing round led by Venrex, Mantle plans to bring its successful D2C skincare to new markets.

Stockholm - Mantle, founded in 2020, has successfully raised €2.8 million in a funding round led by Venrex, a London-based venture capital firm. These funds will be used to support Mantle's expansion in Germany, Europe and its upcoming market entry in the US. With this financing, the company's total funding reaches 8 million euros.

It is a fantastic feeling to start the year with Venrex as a new shareholder.

Josefin Landgård, CEO and co-founder Mantle

Mantle, founded by Josefin Landgård and Stina Lönnkvist, specializes in the development of clean and clinical skincare products. The products contain biomimetic ingredients that aim to strengthen the skin. The products are used not only for European expansion, particularly in Germany, but also for research and product development in the company's own laboratory in Sweden.

Interestingly, the founders of Mantle, Josefin Landgård and Stina Lönnkvist, originally come from other professional backgrounds (tech entrepreneur, branding specialist), which makes their successful collaboration and creation of an innovative skincare company all the more remarkable.

Venrex expands D2C brand portfolio

The funding round enabled Mantle to join Venrex's portfolio, which already includes successful D2C brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Hertility, Revolut and Vinterior. With an annual growth of over 80 percent in 2023 and a high customer retention rate, they were able to attract the interest of Venrex.

Josefin Landgård, CEO and co-founder of Mantle, comments on Venrex's support as a confirmation of the company's success to date. Tom Fleming, founder and partner at Venrex, emphasizes Mantle's impressive fan base in Scandinavia and its transformative approach to skincare formulation.

Distribution online and through selected partners

Mantle's products, including moisturizers, masks, serums, intimate care products, body creams and scrubs, are available through its own website as well as premium retailers in France and the UK. A recent partnership with luxury hotel and members' club Estelle Manor in the UK underlines the diversification of Mantle's distribution channels.
