Marcus Diekmann joins Dermanostic

The digital expert is the new consultant for the online dermatology practice. The new focus is to be on artificial intelligence.
Healthtech Dermanostic has a new advisor in digital expert Marcus Diekmann. With his experience from the e-commerce scene and business management, he will support the four-member founding team, according to the start-up. Diekmann is a shareholder and advisory board member at Rose Bikes and earlier this year founded Founders League, a live interactive show for startups.
He sees the online dermatology practice as a way to make society a little bit better: "Especially in the area of cost savings," he says. "Treatment costs are going to multiply a lot in the next few years due to demographic changes." Dermanostic offers an alternative here through remote medical diagnosis, which it says saves time and money.
Since entering the market in 2020, Dermanostic says it has treated 100,000 patients. Diekmann is expected to focus on artificial intelligence, which is expected to be the focus of business development in the coming years.
