Sentryc receives five million euros

The brand protection company wants to put the money into its software, growth and internationalization.
Berlin-based brand protection startup Sentryc has received five million euros in its Series A round. The main investor is French venture capitalist Seventure Partners, with other investors also contributing money.
Sentryc aims to offer companies and brands a digital solution with brand protection software to detect and curb product piracy and brand abuse on online marketplaces. The company plans to use the money to further develop its SaaS solution and fund growth and further expansion into Europe.
Sentryc believes there is a large market for the tech sector around brand protection and plagiarism prevention. It is in the area of product piracy that action would be taken more often. There would be more awareness of the risks across industries. With the recent investment, the company now hopes to grow this area.
"Our goal is to protect businesses and consumers in a sustainable and effective way," says CEO Nicole Hofmann. "We are pleased to have gained a partner in Seventure Partners who shares our vision and is very familiar with the challenges for companies due to their proximity to the heavily affected French market." "The growing need for brand protection, the team and the innovative software convinced us to invest in Sentryc," adds Andreas Schenk of Seventure Partners.
