The three entrepreneurs win the prize, which is offered by Volkswagen and the Sächsische Zeitung newspaper, among others.

Staffbase founders Martin Böhringer, Frank Wolf and Lutz Gerlach have been named Saxony's Entrepreneur of the Year. The award is backed by various business and media companies, including Sächsische Zeitung, Volkswagen Sachsen and AOK Plus.

Staffbase offers an app for employee communication in companies. Based in Chemnitz, the start-up aims to simplify access to company information.

The founders received the award for, among other things, creating jobs at their main location in Chemnitz, but also for supporting local social initiatives. Co-founder Böhringer was also involved in the nomination of Chemnitz as the Capital of Culture 2025. At the award ceremony, he expressed: "For our entire team, this award means appreciation and at the same time motivation to continue pursuing our mission of improving communication between company management and employees."
