Storybox raises 1.5 million euros

The Munich-based start-up wants to help companies create professional videos. This is now convincing investors.
The start-up Storybox receives funding in the amount of 1.5 million euros. Gateway Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds are investing in the company. In addition, BayBG and CK Ventures are also participating in the round.
"With this new investment, we want to further strengthen our position as a pioneer for asynchronous video communication and invest in product and geographic expansion," says CEO and founder Ben Rodrian. He co-founded Storybox in 2017 with Rusmin Causevic. The startup offers a SaaS solution for businesses to enable employees to create and share high-quality videos. This is said to be possible with customizable video templates and editing software.
Good videos are important for recruiting, marketing and sales, the startup says. With video messages, companies can gain more attention and reach, it said. Videos would also play an important role within a company. Storybox states that around 75 percent of employees prefer to watch a video than read a text.
