The Munich-based start-up wants to help companies create professional videos. This has now convinced investors.

The start-up Storybox has received funding of 1.5 million euros. Gateway Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds are investing in the company. BayBG and CK Ventures are also participating in the round.

"With the new investment, we want to further expand our position as a pioneer in asynchronous video communication and invest in product and geographic expansion," says CEO and founder Ben Rodrian. He founded Storybox in 2017 together with Rusmin Causevic. The start-up offers a SaaS solution for companies that allows employees to create and share high-quality videos. This is made possible with customizable video templates and editing software.

According to the start-up, good videos are important for recruiting, marketing and sales. Companies can achieve more attention and reach with video messages. Videos also play an important role within a company. Storybox states that around 75 percent of employees prefer to watch a video rather than read a text.
