Susann Hoffmann founds eyewear start-up

The Edition F co-founder has relaunched with a former Amorelie manager - but what exactly the new company does is still unclear.

Together with Philippa Koenig, the long-time CCO of the online erotic store Amorelie, Edition F co-founder Susann Hoffmann is founding a new start-up. The two women announced this via Linkedin. However, it is still unclear what exactly the product of the new company called "Manti Manti" will be. According to the commercial register, it is about "production and distribution of sustainable optical glasses, especially for children and young people," as Gründerszene writes.

In addition, other complementary products are also to appear, for example content and storytelling for children around the topic of sustainable glasses. It is still unclear whether this will be done on its own content platform. On Instagram, the young start-up describes a growing market of 2.7 million children between the ages of zero and 13 who wear glasses in Germany.

Hoffmann and Koenig want to offer new solutions for this growing market. The former exited in 2021 from Edition F, the feminist online magazine she founded, which subsequently filed for bankruptcy. Koenig was one of the first employees of the online erotic store Amorelie and has since worked as a consultant for start-ups, among others, according to her own statements.
