Vialytics receives over ten million US dollars

The start-up offers local authorities a road management system. Thanks to the money, more international municipalities should now also be convinced.

AI solutions are everywhere. The Stuttgart-based start-up Vialytics uses them in road management - and has now been able to raise a lot of capital for this: The company has landed over ten million US dollars. It received the money as part of a Series A round. It was led by the venture capital investor Scania Growth Capital. The existing investors EnBW New Ventures and Statkraft Ventures also contributed money.

"The system fits perfectly with our focus on mobility and AI solutions," says Christian Zeuchner, Partner at Scania Growth Capital. "Municipalities are ready for the digital age and Vialytics has proven that the GovTech market is extremely attractive."

The start-up has developed an AI-supported road management system for cities and municipalities. According to the company, it automatically records and analyzes the condition data required for the regular maintenance and upkeep of roads. Road safety can thus be better guaranteed. The recorded data can be processed across different authorities and renovation measures can be planned effectively.

Vialytics states that 250 partner municipalities in Germany, 50 more in France and some in Austria, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Switzerland are working with the software. The company would now like to use the capital to expand into the US market, among others. The company's hope is that the US government will make over 100 billion US dollars available for the rehabilitation of roads. The current workforce of 60 employees is also to be doubled over the next two years.
