Finway raises over two million euros

Exclusive: The start-up from Munich was able to successfully conclude a seed financing round with 2.1 million euros. Among others, the venture capitalist btov Partners is involved.

View expenses and budgets in real time, automate them and thus simplify processes: That's the promise of Finway, a startup based near Munich. Csaba Krümmer, Jennifer Dussileck and Philipp Rieger founded it in 2020 and are now receiving €2.1 million in a seed funding round, Startbase has learned in advance. Investors include venture capitalist btov Partners and business angels. Also participating in the round is 10x Group, a group of entrepreneurs including IDNow founder Felix Haas. It had already invested in a previous round.

"I am very impressed with what the team has already achieved in such a short time and convinced that Finway has what it takes to become a market leader," says Felix Haas. The start-up itself also has big plans: "With finway we want to achieve a leading market position in Europe in the coming years," says founder Dussileck about the round. The young company wants to put the money into further product development and stronger customer loyalty.

Btov has been following Finway's development for some time, so an investment was a logical next step: "Finway convinced us as a holistic solution in the area of expense management through a clear focus on product excellence," says Luca Martinelli, partner at btov, who sees "enormous market potential" for Finway's offering.
