The food delivery service has successfully completed its financing round led by the investment company prosus. The start-up has also signed a cooperation agreement with the Rewe Group, which will supply Flink exclusively with groceries.

Flink is only six months old, but has long since arrived on the fast food delivery market. The start-up is now raising 240 million US dollars. The round is led by the investment company Prosus, which belongs to the South African group Naspers. Investor Bond from San Francisco and Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, Mubadala Capital, are also involved.

The Rewe Group is also involved in the current round and is concluding a strategic cooperation with Flink: the aim is to "exclusively take over the supply of goods", the company writes. "We are convinced that through our financial commitment in the form of a minority stake and the cooperation in the area of goods, we can make a decisive contribution to the long-term success of flink and at the same time benefit as REWE Group from the development of the market segment," says Lionel Souque, CEO of Rewe Group. Rewe itself has a delivery service, which, however, only delivers within the next few days after an order has been placed.

Since its foundation, Flink has now raised 250 million euros, with the previous financing round taking place at the beginning of March. This raised 43 million euros. At that time, it was announced that Flink would also be bringing its services to Amsterdam and Paris. The French capital is now on the list, as are cities in the Netherlands. In Germany, Flink is available in 19 locations.
