Roadsurfer raises 24 million euros

The Munich-based camper rental company intends to use its Series B financing to drive forward its international expansion. Roadsurfer is already active in eight countries.
Mobile camping startup Roadsurfer has closed its Series B funding with 24 million euros. Co-founder Markus Dickhardt confirmed this to Gründerszene
. The money comes from venture capitalists HV Capital and Heartcore Capital, among others.Roadsurfer rents out campers via an online portal, much like a car rental company. Dickhardt's founding team launched in 2016, and they were profitable after just one year, the company said. Roadsurfer also arranges camping spots in unusual locations for a fee. For example, on farms or wineries. The company also sells its own used campers if customers show interest.
With the newly raised money, the Munich-based company wants to expand further. The company is already active in eight European countries.
